This one-year course provides a strong introduction to scientific theory, whilst supporting you to develop practical and transferable skills, enabling you to progress on to the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Applied Science.

Want to teach PE? This sports studies course will get you on your way covering subjects like sports nutrition, sports psychology, anatomy and physiology, sports injuries and research methods.

Want a career in coaching or teaching PE? This Level 3 in Sport and Coaching Development is based around the needs of your potential future employers'. You'll spend some time in the classroom, doing practical sessions in the sports complex and fields and then gain some real work experience working with our coaching company partners.

Combine academic study with work-based learning in this two-year Animal Management Foundation Degree. Study at a local partner college, undertake work-based learning opportunities in both years and have the option to ‘top-up’ to a full bachelors degree with a third year of study at East Durham College. This course is subject to final requirements.

This course is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding of babies and young children from birth to 7 years of age with applied knowledge in the early years, 0-5 years. Our Agriculture T Level allows you to develop your practical skills working with cattle, sheep and pigs to learn the ins and outs of modern, sustainable livestock farming, whilst working on our 500 acre mixed-farm at our land-based campus. Whilst you study, get work ready by undertaking a 45 day Indsutry Placement with one of our industry partners!
