East Durham College Houghall Campus (Durham)
Looking for something a bit out of the ordinary for your college course? Well, let us tell you all about Houghall, the region's largest specialist land-based college!
Houghall's been around for over 80 years, and we specialise in land-based education. What is that? Well, it's all about practical, exciting work both indoors and outdoors, from climbing trees to caring for a wide variety of different animals.
You'll be learning at our absolutely stunning Houghall campus on the outskirts of Durham city centre. We've invested millions in facilities such as our working farm and small animal care centre, with more investment coming very soon as we develop a brand new modern teaching block too.

The Technical Academy (Peterlee)
Just down the road from our main Peterlee campus on Peterlee Industrial Estate, you'll find our specialist facility known as The Technical Academy.
This unique campus is designed to simulate the environment of a typical factory, with different trades working together. It's a highly practical environment complete with all of the specialist equipment you'll need as part of your course, as well as its own classroom and learning spaces, own canteen and much more too.
