Manufacturing Cleanroom Lab
Over half a million pounds has been invested in our Peterlee campus to create our industry-standard manufacturing cleanroom lab facilities at East Durham College.
The brand new, unique facility will give students studying scientific course programmes and apprenticeships, such as the Level 2 Science Manufacturing Process Operative Apprenticeship and the Level 3 Science Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship, the opportunity to study and work in a realistic cleanroom environment.
The facility is home to a range of state-of-the-art equipment, including a Safelab Filtration Fume cupboard, Portable Pressurized Eyewash and Trespa TopLab Benching units, as well as a separate changing room, air lock and adjacent classroom.
