We're delighted to announce that our very own Rebecca Hough, who teaches floristry at our Houghall campus, is up for a Floristry Tutor of the Year award at the 2018 British Floral Association Industry Awards!

East Durham College was thrilled to welcome actor Richard Riddell, who recently appeared in smash-hit BBC drama Bodyguard, to the college on Friday 5th October for a special talk with students.

It’s another accolade for East Durham College’s extremely talented barbering lecturer Alison Scattergood who was officially made an Industry Advisory Board Member for Barbering by City & Guilds this week.

Suzi Martin, who is a media lecturer here at East Durham College, also works as a Continuity Announcer for Channel 4.

2018 is another year of A-mazing success for East Durham Sixth Form (ED6) as students have achieved 100% pass rate for A-Levels in all subjects for the third year running.

East Durham College is thrilled to announce that due to an incredible year in our floristry department, we have been nominated for two awards in the British Floral Association (BFA) Industry Awards 2018.

It's always great to see our students go on to further success after they leave us, and Emma Baker is doing incredibly well, becoming the University of Cumbria's first ever graduate with an Honours degree in Marine and Freshwater Conservation.
