It’s a time for celebration for Laura Maddison and her family. After originally beginning work at the age of 16 as a dental nurse, Laura, from Grangetown in Sunderland, went through several years of hard work and study and has just graduated as a qualified dentist from Newcastle University.

We're really thrilled to announce that Samantha Prince, who studies at our Peter Jones Enterprise Academy, is one of the finalists of this year's National Entrepreneur of the Year competition!

Students in the North East will have a clear route to technical employment with the launch of the region’s new Institute of Technology.  Following the successful bid in 2019, the licence to operate as the North East Institute of Technology has now been awarded by the Department for Education.
