This course covers the use of hedgecutters, the range of machines, pre-start checks and basic maintenance, fuel mixing and basic pruning techniques and systems.
This qualification, formally known as CS30, is about the maintenance of a chainsaw and cross cutting trees is delivered through theory and practical sessions. The course covers safety features, preparing the chainsaw for use with correct fuel and lubrication and cross cutting timber accurately. This unit must be completed before progressing on the further chainsaw courses.
