Course overview
This course has three distinct pathways: Photography, Music Technology and Creative Craft - you will select one of these pathways to study.
Topics
In Photography you will focus on developing techniques and becoming more familiar with camera functions through a series of digital photography assignments.
In Music Technology you will focus on working with MIDI and audio techniques.
In Creative Craft you will develop work creating an enterprise project that focuses on crafts for children and young people.

These three pathways are introductory and designed to allow you to progress to the level two certificates.
Further study options after this course
All three pathways have the option of progressing on to a Level 2 Certificate.
Entry requirements
No formal entry requirements are required, however a keen interest in the chosen pathway and a willingness to undertake all activities presented by the tutor is necessary.

How is this course assessed?
Each pathway consists of either one or two units, which are assessed by the tutor, before being internally verified and externally moderated by the exam board.
When does the course start?
Photography pathway - 13/03/25-01/05/25
Music Technology pathway - 29/04/25-10/06/25
Creative Craft pathway - 13/05/25-24/06/25
Length of course
Each pathway runs for six weeks.
The music technology pathway is delivered on a Tuesday evening from 5.30pm
The creative craft pathway is delivered on a Tuesday evening from 5pm and the photography pathway runs on a Thursday evening from 5.30pm.
All pathways are delivered as face to face sessions with an industry specialist tutor.
