This Level 2 Diploma in Music Performance and Production explores the music industry through a series of projects designed to explore performance and production, introducing composition, performance skills and sound production to name but a few.
Topics
The L2 Diploma is a student centred programme where we write briefs around the learner cohort, employer needs and opportunities we are presented with. Projects include live performance, music composition, production for performance and your own final project.
Alongside the projects, you will engage in work experience including working with guest artists, trips and visits, attending and performing at events.

A learner achieving a Merit or Distinction on the Level 2 Diploma in Music Performance and Production can progress to the Level 3 Diploma in Music Performance and Production.
On achieving a merit or distinction at the Level 3 Diploma in Music Performance and Production, learners can progress on to the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music Performance and Production.

How is this course assessed?
There are 7 formative units which are delivered in 3-4 projects and graded as pass / fail. You music pass all units to progress to the final project where you will be graded pass, merit or distinction. The grade you receive for this project is the final grade awarded for the year. All units are internally assessed and internally verified with the final unit being sent to the exam board for external quality assurance.
