Within countryside conservation, you could be surveying and reporting on the condition of an outdoor area, encouraging people to enjoy the environments around them, carrying out habitat management work or monitoring a section of river prone to floods.
This qualification gives you the opportunity to learn about and build on the essentials of working within the countryside, such as estate skills, population surveys, safe use of equipment and machinery, land use and recreation and environmental processes.
This course focuses on applying principles form the first year of the course to specific habitat management and looks into practices that can be used to manage these specific habitats. There is also a theme of planning for and addressing countryside access, recreation and tourism into habitat management activities
