Our Land Based Engineering Workshop underwent a massive upgrade in 2024, meaning our students are training in a revamped workshop with loads of brand-new specialist engineering equipment.

As a centre of excellence in agriculture and land-based engineering, our workshop is equipped with a range of welding facilities, including manual metal, ARC, oxyacetylene, MIG and TIG welders, as well as computer-aided design equipment and machinery management software.

Our programmes prepare apprentices to maintain a wide range of machinery, plant and equipment used in sectors such as agriculture, forestry and horticulture. In addition to perfecting maintenance techniques, apprentices conduct performance and emissions testing using advanced diagnostic tools to understand transmission systems and engine characteristics.
