Many courses at East Durham College contain elements of scientific study, and that's why we've got facilities to match the needs of these courses!
Our science labs at Peterlee are primarily used by our ED6 students studying A Levels in Chemistry, Physics and Biology, as well as students studying Access to Science and our dedicated Applied Science course.
At Houghall, the science labs are mainly used by our animal care and veterinary nursing students, studying the anatomy and physiology of various different types of animals.
All science labs include large-size workshop bench spaces for plenty of work for practical, all of the equipment you'll need including flasks, beakers and chemicals and gas points for the use of equipment such as bunsen burners.
