Start your career in agriculture with East Durham College's Level 2 Agriculture course, taught at our Houghall campuses' state-of-the-art farming facility in Durham.
This Level 3 Diploma for Entry to the Uniformed Services course is ideal if you are thinking of pursuing a careers in policing, fire and rescue or any of the military services.
Our Agriculture T Level allows you to develop your practical skills working with cattle, sheep and pigs to learn the ins and outs of modern, sustainable livestock farming, whilst working on our 500 acre mixed-farm at our land-based campus. Whilst you study, get work ready by undertaking a 45 day Indsutry Placement with one of our industry partners!
This 10 week course will cover the health & safety relevant to working with livestock and introduction to production livestock management. The course will combine theory and practical.
You could go on to study a wide range of healthcare, nursing and midwifery degrees at university with East Durham College's Access to HE diploma. You may also progress to other related courses such as operating department practitioner, occupational health or social work, taught part-time on evenings or daytime.
