T Level Technical Qualification in Digital Data Analytics

The T Level in Digital Data Analytics is a two-year, Level 3 programme designed as a high-quality alternative to A Levels, combining classroom learning with a substantial industry placement of at least 315 hours. It is aimed at students who are interested in how data drives modern organisations and who want to develop practical, employer-led skills alongside strong academic foundations.

Students study a Technical Qualification shaped directly by industry experts, ensuring that what they learn reflects real workplace practice. The course prepares learners for skilled roles in the digital sector, progression to apprenticeships, or further study at higher level, including university. It is particularly suited to those who enjoy problem solving, working with information, and understanding how technology supports business decisions.

The course is split into a broad core and a specialist pathway in Digital Data Analytics. The core develops a strong understanding of the digital industry and includes problem solving, data fundamentals, business context, legislation and regulation, emerging technologies, digital environments, and cyber security. These areas give students a firm grounding in how digital systems operate and how they are used responsibly in real organisations

The specialist content focuses on data in practice. Students learn how to source, organise and clean data, combine information from multiple sources, analyse both structured and unstructured datasets, and communicate findings clearly to different audiences. They also develop an understanding of legal, ethical, and professional responsibilities, alongside research and project skills that mirror the work of real data technicians.

This T Level is designed to lead directly into skilled employment within the digital sector. Learners are well prepared for entry-level roles that involve working with data in a business context, such as Data Technician, Junior Data Analyst, Digital Marketing Assistant, or Business Intelligence Support Officer. The combination of technical skills and industry experience makes students attractive to employers across a wide range of sectors.

Students completing this T Level are well placed to progress onto higher-level apprenticeships, particularly in areas such as Data Analysis, Digital and Technology Solutions, Business Intelligence, and Software Development.
