Course overview
This course will cover the fundamental knowledge and skills you will need to understand and care for a range of exotic and zoo animals, from commonly kept reptiles to zoo species. You will examine the biological differences between species and develop husbandry skills to work with a wide range of reptiles and exotic mammals.
This course is a must for reptile geeks!
Taught by a qualified and zoo keeper, you will gain a real insight into this career pathway as well as hands on experience with our more unusual animals.

Entry requirements
You must be 19 years old or above.
No formal entry requirements, but you must have sufficient literacy and numeracy skills to produce simple written reports and carry out basic calculations.
You must be physically capable of carrying out practical assessments without support.

Practical assessments, written reports/homework.
When does the course start?
Wed 25th September, 6pm-9pm.
The course will also be running again from February 2025.
Length of course
Part time, 3 hours a week, 16 weeks.
