Course Content
This course is aimed at those wanting to work in the adult social care sector and improve their knowledge and understanding of principles required for a variety of roles, including equality & diversity, safeguarding, duty of care, health & safety, person centred approaches and handling information These are 9 units in this course:
- Principles of personal development in adult social care settings
- Principles of equality, diversity and inclusion in adult social care settings
- Principles of safeguarding and protection in health and social care
- Principles for implementing duty of care in health, social care or children’s and young people’s settings
- Understand the role of the social care worker
- Understand people-centred approaches in adult social care settings
- Understand health & safety in social care settings
- Understand how to handle information in social care settings
- Principles of communication in adult social care settings
