Let's Get Enrolled!
It’s time to get enrolled here at East Durham College!
If you’re planning on joining our Inclusive Learning Department (Foundation Studies or Derwent Autistic Provision) at the college, this enrolment event is for you!
Important Note: This event on 19th August 2025 is for Foundation and Derwent students only. For any other courses, please see our other enrolment events.
What to Expect
Please be aware that the enrolment process can take some time, so set yourself aside at least an hour.

When you arrive, report to our main reception, where you’ll be greeted by our friendly team ready to check you in!
If you’ve already applied, just give us your name and what area you’ve applied for – then you can head over to the waiting area.
If you haven’t applied – no problem! Let our team know you’re a new applicant, they’ll ask you to fill in some quick details to get your checked in – then you can head over to the waiting area.
When they’re ready to see you, a member of our teaching team will come over to collect you and take you for your interview. Don’t worry, this isn’t really an interview - you’ll just have a chat with your lecturer all about you!
Once you’ve confirmed which course you’ll be studying, it’s time to enrol! You’ll get checked into our enrolment queue and head over to the enrolment waiting area to wait for your name to be called.
On your turn, you’ll sit down with our enrolment team and get yourself signed up for the course you want to do! Our team will go through your financial situation to see if you’re eligible for any financial support on things such as school meals or kit for your course. Once that’s all done and you’ve signed the dotted line, you’ll officially be an East Durham College student!
…but wait! One last step before you go! Make sure you’ve got on your best threads as we’ll need to snap a quick photo for your student ID and bus pass. Then, you’re free to go!
As previously mentioned, this process can be lengthy depending on how busy we are on the day. We ask for your patience as our amazing team try and get you enrolled as quickly as they can!

If you’ve applied to East Durham College and been in for an interview already, we’ll write to you with a date and time for your enrolment appointment.
Not Yet Applied?
Don't worry! You don't need to have previously applied to East Durham College to enrol. We do however recommend you do apply before coming so we've got your details - you can do that by following this link.
Alternatively if you haven't yet applied to the college, simply turn up at the appropriate enrolment event and we will be able to sort everything out from there.
