EAL Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Operations (Skills)

The Level 2 Engineering Operations (skills) course has been designed to equip learners with essential foundation skills, developing both the practical skills and theoretical knowledge essential for success in the field of engineering. With a focus on mechanical, electronic, electrical and manufacturing engineering, this course offers a comprehensive curriculum tailored to meet the changing demands of the engineering sector.

Complying with statutory regulations and organisational safety requirements.
Working efficiently and effectively in an engineering environment.
Using and communicating technical information.
Producing components using hand fitting techniques.
Maintaining mechanical devices and equipment.
Assembling and testing electronic circuits.
Maintaining electronic equipment/systems.
Producing CAD drawings using a CAD system

Upon completing the Level 2 Engineering Operations (skills) course students will develop their practical skills, theoretical knowledge, and industry-relevant training enabling them to pursue various job opportunities across the engineering sector including direct entry and progression onto an apprenticeship.

Upon successfully completing the course, you will be encouraged to explore progression opportunities onto programs such as:

- Apprenticeship in Engineering.
- L3 Award in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
- L3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
- BTEC Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Engineering (Manufacturing and Engineering)
