Students' Union
As an EDC student, you’re automatically a member of the Students’ Union (SU). The SU represents your views to college leaders and organises events and activities throughout the year.
The SU has its own budget, and students elect officers every year. Whatever your interests, we’re here to represent them.
You can contact SU Officers on Teams or by email. You’ll find their names and courses on the SU Board in the canteen or Student Services.
Elections
SU elections take place during term one of each academic year. All students can run or vote – we’ll share more details closer to the time.
Student Executives are Class Reps with an extra responsibility: leading student representation.

Class Reps
The SU values Class Reps highly. They collect feedback from students about their course and attend meetings to discuss what comes up.

Student campaigns
The SU runs campaigns throughout the year to promote wellbeing, inclusion and positive citizenship.
This year’s focus is our Kindness Campaign, encouraging respect, empathy and positive action across college life. Each month, we highlight a different theme through stories and activities that support personal development.
