This qualification has been designed for students with an interest in music performance and/or music production who wish to explore and extend this interest through a full-time, immersive learning experience.

If you love music, this is the course for you! Learn from highly experienced musicians, enhance your musical abilities and perform live on stage at our own theatre and gigs.

This course is designed to prepare you for your journey into the music industry, whether as a performer, composer, producer or facilitator, or for higher education! You will lead on projects, and direct your attention towards your chosen key discipline.

The EPQ offers the chance for A Level students at ED6 to gain real independence, resilience and maturity as learner, while pursuing any topic of your choosing. It is equivalent to 50% of an A Level and is well regarded by universities as evidence that the transition from college to university will be a smooth one and may be taking in to consideration in their conditional offer or provide additional UCAS points.

The level 1 programme is designed to provide you with an introduction to the knowledge and technical skills required in music production. Using a hands-on focus, learners will explore the basics of studio recording, effectively use different microphones to record live audio, and use digital audio software to record and mix tracks.
