Course overview
This course is split over 2 different qualifications one is
Entry Level 3
You are looking for a career in the hospitality industry or your looking to learn the basis of looking after yourself in your own environment.
Certificate in Hospitality Services
If you haven't made your mind up yet, this is the qualification for you. You can choose your focus as you go, perhaps in serving, cooking, reception work, housekeeping or administration.
You can take these hospitality qualifications with a training provider - perhaps at a local college - or as part of your on-the-job training at work.
To gain an NVQ, you need to show you've got a particular set of skills. You usually work with your training provider to review your current skills and find the best way to gain new ones - perhaps by trying new things at work, or by studying.
NVQs are assessed at work or in a simulated workplace. For each unit your assessor watches and asks questions as you perform a task, or looks at a portfolio of work that you've built as formal evidence of your learning. Then they confirm you've got the skills to do the job well.
