Course overview
This course will cover the fundamental knowledge and skills you will need to understand and identify normal and abnormal behaviour in a range of animals. You will examine how husbandry and feeding practices influence behaviour and welfare of a range of animal species.
You will gain hands on practical skills in animal handling and husbandry by working with some of the 77 different animal species we have in our modern animal unit.

Entry requirements
You must be 19 years old or above.
No formal entry requirements, but you must have sufficient literacy and numeracy skills to produce simple written reports and carry out basic calculations.
You must be physically capable of carrying out practical assessments without support.
