Kirsty Fishwick
Kirsty Fishwick studied at East Durham College at our Peter Jones Enterprise Academy. She successfully won a place to study business management at Durham University and went on to gain a First Class degree.
I’m delighted to win the award in this year’s National BTEC Awards. My BTEC has helped me understand so much about Business. It has also given me more self-confidence as well as the determination, motivation and the desire to achieve my goals in my future career.
She also won the national award as the best BTEC Business student in the country in 2013.
Since graduating from Durham University, Kirsty has been working for the Institute of Supply Chain Management where she liaises with supply chain professionals and businesses to match their training requirements with the programmes they offer. She also writes qualification materials for the Institute, which are related to her degree discipline, Business and Management. Her future plans include progressing in the tuition and assessing route to support the students of the Institute with their qualifications.
