Where it could lead
An Access to HE Diploma is recognised by universities across the UK. Our students go on to study a wide range of degrees, including nursing, midwifery, paramedic science, medicine, social work, psychology, biology, education and many more.
The right pathway for you depends on the degree you want to study. If you’re not sure which one to choose, our Student Services team can help on 0191 518 8222.
Fees & funding
If you're aged 19 or over at the start of the academic year, this course may be free through the Free Courses for Jobs Scheme or funded by an Advanced Learner Loan – subject to eligibility.
Advanced Learner Loan
An Advanced Learner Loan works just like a student loan and covers your course fees. You only start repaying it when you earn above the repayment threshold.
If you complete a degree after your Access to HE course, your Access to HE loan is written off completely.
