Understand how computers use logic and represent data to make decisions and run programs, how computers solve problems with logic, how computer programs store data and how functions work.
• Design a simple computer program in response to a client brief.
• Develop the program using a graphic-based programming language.
• Test the program for functionality, making refinements where necessary.
• Create documentation for the program.
• Review how well the program meets the client brief, making suggestions for further improvements.

Entry requirements
A grasp of numerical skills would be a benefit however, no formal qualifications are required. This course is suitable for a beginner and for anyone new to programming.

The method of assessment for the qualifications is through a portfolio of evidence.

This course starts on Thursday 26th September 2024, and runs on Thursday evenings from 6pm-9pm.

One evening a week, for 12 weeks, 3 hours per week.
