Distance Learning - Autism (Level 2 Certificate) 2023-24

There are around 700,000 autistic people in the UK – more than 1 in every 100. If you work with autistic people, or if someone you know is autistic, this course is a great way to increase your knowledge about the condition. You will learn about autism and how it can affect the ways people communicate, interact and process information. You'll learn how to support autistic people to live healthy, fulfilled lives.

• Learn how speech, language and communication may differ in autistic people
• Recognise how legislation and guidance underpins support

This 15 week course can help with professional development and lead to careers in Education and Childcare. This is particularly useful for job roles such as;

Teaching Assistant (£11,500 to £23,000 per year)
Training officer (£15,000 to £35,000 per year)
Nursery worker (£14,000 to £24,000 per year)

Understanding individuals with autism can help make the workplace a more inclusive environment. This can help your CV stand out and is beneficial for many different job roles.

• you can complete your course online, by paper or online with paper resources
• we'll process your enrolment, and a tutor will be assigned to support you through your course, their contact details are in the joining instruction email
• an email containing your joining instructions will be sent, this email will contain your start and end date, submission dates. If completing online you will be advised of the weblink and your unique username for you to log into the e-assessor portal. If completing by paper you will still receive a joining instruction email and your paper resources will be posted out to you.

The course starts when you have received your joining instruction email containing your start, submission target dates and tutor contact details.

You have 15 weeks from enrolling to complete your course, this duration includes tutor feedback, internal verification and processing and your first assessment is due within 6 weeks of your start date.
