The Gateway is a ‘one-stop shop’ facility that enables higher education students to access a wide range of university services and academic support, all in one place. And it's also an area where their status as HE students is recognised.
The facility houses a plasma screen, computers and ‘crash-out’ seating, as well as desks and meeting area to aid study. Designed specifically with students in mind. The Gateway is an innovation in student support, giving higher education students a first point of contact within the College.
Student also benefit from having a University of Sunderland member of staff on site several days a week, to help them with enquiries regarding higher education at the College and progression on to the University.
