What to Expect at Our Come to College Open Evenings
Look, we get it. Coming to college is a really big decision.
That's exactly why we have our Come to College open evenings. At these events, you can come along and have a chat with lecturers from the course area(s) of your choice.
We call them interviews, but they're nothing formal! They're purely just so our lecturers can get to know you and your target grades, tell you about which course level you could potentially join us on and you can also ask any questions you might have too.
Don't have a clue what you want to do at college? No worries! Our careers advice team are on hand at our Come to College events and will be happy to point you in the right direction.
There's no appointments needed for this event - all are welcome. We do, however, recommend applying for a course before you arrive - you can do that by viewing our list of courses here.
- Find out how we give you the employment edge and get expert careers advice and guidance
- Come along for free, impartial advice and guidance to help you make the right choices.
- Speak to our dedicated teaching and support staff
- Find out about financial support, free travel and learning support
If you have already applied, our Student Services team will write to you to invite you along to this Come To College evening and send you a text reminder nearer the time.
It is essential that you attend so that we can guarantee your place and make sure the course is the right one and right level for you. We can also discuss any extra support you may need.
On the evening you will be seen by the course lecturer for an informal interview and will be given specific information about your chosen subject. This is a great chance for you to ask questions about the course and college life in general.
Not Yet Applied?
We highly recommend applying for the course you're interested in before attending our open evening. If you don't, that's not a problem - we'll just ask you to fill in an application form while you're with us on the night.
